Who This Applies To

This Privacy Policy applies to TripTale: Travel Memories, operated by TripTale. TripTale is a private travel memory app that lets users create trips, record voice memories, attach media, invite viewers, and turn transcripts into story drafts.

Information We Collect

Account information, such as your email address and profile details you provide.
Trip and memory content, such as trip titles, destinations, dates, voice recordings, transcripts, story drafts, captions, locations you enter, photos, and videos.
Invite information, such as the email address of someone invited to view a trip.
Technical information needed to operate the service, such as authentication events, storage activity, logs, and security records.

How We Use Information

To create and secure your TripTale account.
To store and display your trips, memories, audio, photos, and videos.
To transcribe recordings and generate editable story drafts.
To send invite emails and let invited viewers access a shared trip.
To provide support, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and improve the product.

AI Processing

When you create a memory draft, TripTale may send the relevant audio or transcript to an AI provider to generate a transcript, title, caption, and story draft. You can edit the result before saving it.

Sharing

TripTale does not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the app, including with infrastructure, storage, authentication, email, and AI service providers. If you invite someone to a trip, that viewer can see the trip timeline and memories you have shared with them.

Retention and Deletion

We keep account and trip data while your account is active or as needed to provide TripTale. You can request deletion of your account and associated data from the app or through our public account deletion page.

Some limited records may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backups. Backup and log copies are removed on their normal rotation schedule.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted connections, access controls, and private-by-default trip access. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

TripTale is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to TripTale, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
